Flower Care
We want your preserved bouquet to retain its beauty for years to come. The longevity of your arrangement depends on the preservation method and the care it receives. While preserved flowers are designed to last significantly longer than fresh blooms, environmental factors can still impact their appearance over time. On average, preserved flowers can maintain their vibrancy and structure for 1 to 5+ years with proper care.
Follow these simple care instructions to keep your bouquet looking its best.
Avoid Direct Sunlight:
Preserved flowers are sensitive to UV light, which can cause fading or color changes. Display them in areas with indirect lighting to maintain vibrancy. Continuous exposure to sunlight speeds up the aging process, so choose shaded spots for best results.
Keep Away from Humidity:
Humidity can cause preserved flowers to absorb moisture, leading to wilting or loss of structure. Keep them in dry areas with humidity below 60%, avoiding spaces like bathrooms or kitchens. Low-humidity areas, like living rooms, are ideal for lasting beauty.
No Water or Misting:
Preserved flowers don’t require any water or misting, as this can damage their preserved state. Water can lead to mold or deterioration, so it’s important to keep them dry. Think of them as maintenance-free blooms that stay beautiful without hydration.
Handle with Care:
Preserved flowers are delicate, so handle them gently to avoid tearing or breaking. When adjusting, support the stems instead of pulling on the petals. Always use both hands to reposition them carefully, as frequent handling can lead to slight damage.
Gently Dust Regularly:
Remove dust every few weeks using a soft brush or air blower. Avoid using cleaning sprays or cloths, as they can damage the petals. Light dusting keeps your arrangement fresh and clean over time.
Keep Away from Heat:
Heat can cause preserved flowers to become brittle and lose their softness. Avoid placing them near radiators, heating vents, or direct sunlight. Cooler environments help maintain their softness and preserve their colors.
Limit Physical Contact:
Touching preserved flowers transfers oils from your hands, which can discolor the petals. Minimize handling, and when necessary, use clean, dry hands. Less physical contact will help keep your flowers looking pristine for longer.
